Marlboro Restaurant Week Ends on Marlboro Day: A Map of Where the Township Actually Eats

If someone asked where Marlboro goes out to dinner, most answers would start with Route 9. The 2026 Restaurant Week roster tells a different story. The three-course prix fixe dinners mostly come from a short stretch of South Main Street. Route 9 mostly offers percentages off. Route 520 mixes family packages with sandwich combos a few doors from the Sunday farmers market. Read by address, the list works as a map of the township's three dining clusters, each with its own kind of deal.

Restaurant Week runs Sunday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026. It's the second year for the program, which the Marlboro Economic Development Committee runs. The township's Restaurant Week page currently lists 24 participating restaurants. In October 2025, the township's kickoff message counted 15 restaurants in the first week, so the roster has grown by more than half in a year. Counts differ slightly by source. The Asbury Park Press reported 16 restaurants for the first year and 23 for this one.

One Address, Two Prix Fixe Menus

Two Restaurant Week participants list 130 South Main Street as their address. Cuzin's Seafood & Clam Bar has a $49 three-course prix fixe on the township page. Sette Wood Burning Bistro is offering a $55-per-person four-course dinner or 15% off its new lunch menu. A linked Cuzin's flyer shows different dates and a $65 price that don't match this year's week, so the township's listing is the current figure. Confirm with the restaurant when you book.

The neighbors along the same street fill in the rest of the range:

  • Amorina Ristorante Italiano, 8 South Main St., Unit 6: $36 lunch or $49 dinner
  • Village Maria Pizzeria, 81 S Main St.: $9.95 lunch special
  • Burger Boys, 128 S Main St.: $12.79 smash-burger combo with fries and a fountain drink
  • Osteria Cucina Rustica, 915 S Main St.: $49 three-course prix fixe

That puts four of the week's sit-down Italian and seafood dinners and two of its cheapest lunches on one street. Between 81 and 130 South Main, the offers run from a $9.95 slice-shop lunch to a $55 four-course dinner. Nowhere else on the list packs that much range into so few addresses.

Peppino's Brick Oven, at 53 NJ-34, belongs with this group even though it sits on a different road. Its $50-per-person four-course menu is one of the more ambitious offers this year.

Route 9 Runs on Percentages

Route 9 offers more variety and simpler deals. Three restaurants on the corridor are offering a flat 10% off. Koy Grill at 280 US-9 discounts dine-in. DUBAI Chicken at 184 US-9 N takes 10% off dine-in or takeout. MANGAL House, listed at 184 US-9 with an Englishtown address, takes 10% off dine-in for parties of up to five.

The corridor does have prix fixe menus, but they sit farther apart:

Restaurant Listed address Offer
Istanbul Bay Premium 190 US-9, Marlboro $44.95 three courses with mocktail
La Cucina Nouveau 167 US-9, Morganville $49.95 three courses
Nonna's Cucina 448 US-9, Englishtown $47 three courses
Aunt Butchie's of Brooklyn 430 US Highway 9 North, Englishtown $29.95 three courses
Meli's Thin & Crispy Pizza Co. 280 US RT 9 North, Marlboro Feast of 2 $59.99, Family Feast $74.99

The mailing addresses are worth a look. Several participants list Englishtown or Morganville addresses, so the program's footprint follows the Route 9 corridor more than any strict municipal line. Aunt Butchie's $29.95 three-course menu is the lowest prix fixe on the list.

Two quick stops close to Route 9 round out this cluster. Better Gourmet Health Kitchen at 12 US 9 has a half-off Chicken Caesar Wrap and a buy-one-get-one smoothie. Mango Mango House of Dessert, listed at 12 US-9 in Morganville, has its own buy-one-get-one smoothie offer. At Ryan Plaza on Ryan Road, Pizza & Pasta Factory has a $69.95 family chicken dinner, and ROOST Nashville Hot Chicken has $4.99 sliders and combos up to $15.99.

The corridor also changed this year. Rosalita's Roadside Cantina closed for good at 180 U.S. 9 after 13 years, Patch reported in August. Earlier, Bojangles opened June 30 at 39 Route 9, in the former Burger King building, according to NJBIZ. Route 9 is where Marlboro's dining turns over fastest, and its Restaurant Week offers reflect that faster, more casual pace.

Route 520 Is Where the Week Meets the Market

The third cluster sits in two plazas on County Route 520, plus one restaurant down the road. At 455 CR-520, Di Santillo's Artisan Sandwiches has a $15.99 half-cheesesteak combo, and Red Tomato Urban Pizzeria has a $74.95 family dinner package. At 460 CR-520, Burger Bros has smash combos at $14.99 and $17.99. Brooklyn Square Pizza also participates there, though the township page doesn't spell out its offer. SamVera, at 476 Route 520, ties Sette for the week's highest dinner price at $55.

The Marlboro Farmers Market operates at 444 Route 520, Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the township says vendors change weekly. The township's page puts the season at June through October, and its Oct. 9 Weekend Update says more than 30 new and returning vendors are scheduled each week. Monmouth County's market listing gives the 2026 season as May 31 through Oct. 25.

Both Sundays of Restaurant Week are market days. On Oct. 11 and Oct. 18, a market morning on 520 can turn into lunch at one of the plazas a few addresses away without moving the car far.

Sunday, October 18, Stacks Three Calendars

The week's last day overlaps more than any other:

Time What Where
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Farmers market 444 Route 520
Noon to 4 p.m. Marlboro Day Recreation Center, 1996 Recreation Way
All day Final day of Restaurant Week 24 participating restaurants

Marlboro Day is on the township's Marlboro 250 events list, part of the anniversary calendar that began in April with a Molly Pitcher talk at the library. The listing promises vendors, inflatables, food trucks, entertainment, a petting zoo, pony rides and free shuttles from locations around town. An event listing gives noon to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Center, with Nov. 1 as the rain date. For shuttle stops and other details, the Oct. 2 Weekend Update points readers to the event flyer and the full event packet.

Marlboro Day will have its own food trucks, so a Restaurant Week dinner fits after the event. The prix fixe menus on South Main and the family packages on 520 and Ryan Road suit that slot best.

What Comes After the Week

The Recreation Center stays busy after Marlboro Day. The township's Oct. 9 update lists a free Halloween Boo Bash there on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. The grounds around it have new money coming, too. Monmouth County awarded Marlboro a $255,000 Municipal Open Space Grant in 2026 for improvements to Recreation Way Park.

On the dining side, the next confirmed change is months away. Meximodo is planned for the former Fireside Grill & Bar site on Route 79, with a projected opening in spring or summer 2027, per Patch's June report. That's a plan, not an opening date, so it may not be ready in time to join a third Restaurant Week.

Logistics for the week ahead: Town Hall and the Recycling Center are closed Monday, Oct. 12, for Columbus Day. Restaurant Week menus, offers and dates vary by restaurant, and the township advises checking each one before you go. The Asbury Park Press preview and the township page are the two sources to keep open while you plan.

At Critelli Realtors®, we keep track of how Marlboro's Route 9, Route 520 and South Main Street corridors change: which storefronts turn over, which plazas fill up and where new restaurants are planned. If you're thinking about how those changes affect a home you own here or one you're considering, schedule a free consultation and we'll walk through it with you.
